Last week I had the absolute pleasure of documenting an old friend of mine with her family at a local park.  When she reached out, she asked that I capture her family the same way I capture my own…authentic, a little messy and off-center, and above all, real.  She had an idea about how she would incorporate portraiture into the aesthetic of her home and I was up to the challenge to create what she wanted, while infusing my own style into it.  It was so. much. fun.  Afterwards we let the kiddos run around our backyard in costumes, sat at the island catching up over chips and margaritas, and laughed about parenthood and where our lives have taken us until it was finally (& sadly) time for them to head out.  They moved to Costa Rica this week and we’re already planning our reunion on their side of the globe…it can’t come soon enough!
