I had a feeling from the very first email that this mama and I would get along great.  She’s an Emergency Department RN at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta (my employer of 6+ years), went to UGA (my alma mater) AND she’s a mom to two sweet labradors (me too!)  So clearly, we have a few things in common and I was so excited to meet her and her sweet baby boy this past week.  I felt right at home when I arrived for their in-home newborn session in Roswell and could have stayed and chatted (and photographed!) all afternoon.  Kelly also had one of her great friends, Whitney, at her house during the session (also an RN) and at times I felt like I was at brunch with friends (minus the mimosas.)  We all “oooohed” and “awwwed” over all of precious Warren’s faces and sounds during his session and I’m prettty sure Whitney even teared up as she watched me shoot their first family portraits.  I can’t wait to complete this gallery and help create beautiful pieces for their home to remember this phase in their lives.  Not a day goes by that I’m not thankful for clients like Kelly that trust me with these memories and allow me to do what I love.  Gaining new friends is just the icing on the cake.
