365 Daily Project 2015 | 1.1.15 – 1.4.15 | Atlanta Lifestyle Photographer

Sometime in the middle of 2013 I decided to pick up a daily shooting project where I made sure I took a photo (of anything, but it was mostly my child) every.single.day.  This was no easy feat and there were times I never wanted to touch my camera again.  The pressure of keeping a commitment like that (and making it GOOD) was overwhelming at times…and it wasn’t always great!  So in 2014, I took a break from my project.  I still picked it up here and there at home but mostly, my camera bag was reserved for client sessions and I documented our daily lives with my iPhone.  It was so freeing!  I stumbled upon a great company (or app, rather) that prints my Instagram photos every time I reach 60 new photos and they are automatically sent to me in a cute little 6×6 book.  Chatbooks is awesome!  BUT.  And here’s a big but.  I lost a little bit of myself in giving that up.  Those images were everything to me.  So many priceless moments perfectly documented forever…why would I ever want to give that up?  I ADORE looking back on those pictures – it’s amazing how much you forget over a year’s time and sometimes I want to see those memories BIG.  Not in a 6×6 paperback book.  I do have a tiny bit of regret in letting myself get so immersed in work that I put my own family’s memories on the back-burner.   So…(shoot me now)…but here we go again!  2014 in photos.  My baby girl, growing up.  My home, it all it’s seasons.  Us.  I can’t wait to start…I can’t wait to finish!  But most importantly, I can’t wait to look back.

1.1.15 | Happy New Year!  We spent the evening with a few sweet friends and one cute kid.  Please excuse the technical flaws in this first image of the year…I’m still learning the ins and outs of my new Samsung NX300M mirror-less camera and this was shot on a whim…I decided on 1.2.15 to start this “gig.”

1.2.15 | “Look, mommy, it’s a baby egg.  Is that so silly?”   The egg game.  Or video.  Or surprise eggs.  Ay yae yae.

1.3.15 | Playtime at her new favorite spot with some of her favorite things.

1.4.15 |  Mommy, is that you coffee?  Can I have some?

(No, mommy doesn’t drink coffee, regretfully.  I just like the way this cup feels in my hands.  But I would love to see your tiny self drinking milk from this pretty cup so of course, you may.)
