I’ve said many times before how very much I love maternity sessions. I never truly saw the importance in them until after I had my daughter – I had a friend of mine snap some pictures of Clay and I in our front yard the last Sunday of my pregnancy (fortunately she has a great eye for photography!) and I will cherish them forever because I would have otherwise forgotten all the ways my body had changed to bring this amazing little girl into my world. Sure, my feet wouldn’t have fit into clown shoes and if I tried to look down at my belly, my chins multiplied…but I have never felt better about myself in my whole life. When else in your life do people praise your large midsection and compliment your glowing (sweaty) skin? If it weren’t for the constant and severe nausea, inability to rock my favorite high heels, and the frowned-upon consumption of margaritas, I might even say I would be completely happy being pregnant forever. Might.
Anyways, all that to say – THIS mama is pure beauty and defies all of those pregnancy “woes.” She gracefully trekked around Piedmont Park in her (amazing) shoes, skinny jeans, and bump-hugging dress…and looked awesome and completely natural doing it! I am so glad that she will have these images for years to come and I can’t wait to meet her little girl very soon…she is sure to be such a pretty little thing!
